Luis Lima 45m
The Art of Unique Rebuilding
Exterior & Interior Design project
Under construction by Yachtbox
Naval Architecture by Alfa Marine Design
Luis Lima is a truly unique rebuild project—originally constructed in 1991 as the 38m Proton yacht. Before the rebuild phase began, the original yacht was stripped down to just its hull and engine room. Everything above was redesigned and rebuilt entirely, from the general arrangement to the superstructure. Achieving the kind of features typically found on 60 to 65-meter yachts within a 45-meter vessel is a remarkable success story in itself.
The interior design of Luis Lima is also noteworthy—it’s one of the rare examples where the Pop Art style has been successfully adapted to a yacht’s interior, adding a bold and playful aesthetic throughout the vessel.
Lower Deck
Starting from the lower deck, the 7 person crew area located at the aft, separated from the engine room by a 25m² garage with see toys and 4.5m williams jet tender.
All these spaces are accessed via a single staircase descending from the main deck—an intentional choice to maximize usable space.
Forward of the engine room lies a lift and stair core, and a spacious main galley. The elevator connects all three decks, while the dumbwaiter goes all the way up to the flydeck.
The corridor on this deck features a walk-through wine cellar, accessible from both sides, with a dramatic “wine cellar” atmosphere.
At the bow, guests will find a spectacular wellness center, complete with a 7-meter pool, two hydraulic fold-down balconies, a bar, sauna, and dayhead.
The space can be transformed into a private cinema with a 85-inch retractable TV overlooking the pool.
Main Deck
A grand beach club welcomes guests at the aft of the main deck. With large fold-down balconies, this area provides unobstructed views and direct sea access. It features a large jacuzzi/pool, a 120-inch rotatable TV that disappears into the floor, and integrated lounge and dining areas—making it one of the most coveted spaces onboard. A hydraulic transformer and passerelle facilitate easy boarding, whether from sea or dock.
Inside, a spacious main salon awaits, offering ample lounge seating, coffee corners, a dedicated bar, and a dining space. There’s also a dayhead accessible from both the interior and exterior.
Forward on this deck are two VIP cabins and two guest cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms. The VIP cabins also include private dressing rooms. At the very front is an additional 2-crew cabin and laundry area, designed for personal staff or extra crew during larger gatherings.
Upper Deck
Serving as the Owner’s Deck, the upper deck includes a captain’s bridge at the bow, with a jacuzzi and forward seating area just ahead. The mooring gear is hidden beneath large hatches, creating a flat surface perfect for sun loungers or outdoor furniture and even a space for some outdoor games.
Inside, the deck is entirely dedicated to the owner and features only a private salon and a master cabin. The master cabin includes a bathroom with a tub integrated into the cabin space for a suite-like experience. Between the master and the bridge lies a his-and-hers walk-in wardrobe.
The owner’s salon with a bar, liquor cabinet, digital game table, pro-grade storage, and a luxurious lounge area. From here, owners can access their private garden terrace, complete with greenery, convertible coffee tables, and game tables—ideal for intimate gatherings or exclusive events.
Flydeck
The flydeck is where outdoor living truly comes alive. At the bow is the third jacuzzi, surrounded by sunpads and lounge seating. Midship is a fully-equipped service area with counters, fridges, and access to the dumbwaiter. At the stern is a unique aft-facing bar, purpose-designed for watching F1 races when docked in Monaco.
This area also features a large oval dining table, drop-down ceiling TV, and a vast lounge zone, all designed to preserve 360-degree panoramic views—making the flydeck a favorite for both day and night entertaining.
Luis Lima represents a rare architectural and design achievement in the yachting world—a 45-meter vessel offering the layout, features, and luxury normally reserved for yachts 20 meters longer. With its visionary rebuild, bespoke design, and playful yet sophisticated interior, Luis Lima is more than a yacht—it’s a floating expression of creativity and engineering excellence.
